Georg Williams

After an early start selling portraits at age, managed by a profit-hungry father, Georg explored the country, served in the army, and studied art (only to later unlearn it). He eventually returned to his roots with a more whimsical, caricatured style that favored humor over realism.

Georg shifted from photorealism back to the lighthearted, caricatured style of his youth, realizing that a laugh was a better compliment than polite praise. When a friend suggested he paint pet portraits, his head-and-shoulder style became so popular he left his day job to paint full time.
